Welcome to Jammin Jr (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the website jamminjr.com and the learning games available on it, including Word Builder Adventure, Letter Heroes, and the Dyslexia training game (collectively, the “Service”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our Service, especially children.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights parents and guardians have over their child’s information.

1. Who We Are

operated by GrowByMe, LLC, located in Bastrop, TX 78602, United States.

Privacy contact: privacy@jammin.chat Parents and guardians may use this address to exercise any rights described in this policy.

2. Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

Our Service is directed at children under the age of 13. We comply fully with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which is enforced by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The most important thing to know: Our Service is designed so that children can play all games without providing any personal information at all. Creating an account is optional and is handled entirely by a parent or guardian. No child is ever asked for their name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information.

3. The Two Ways to Use the Service

Guest Mode (no account required)

Any visitor can play Letter Heroes, the Dyslexia training game, and Word Builder Adventure without creating an account. In Guest Mode:

Because no personal information is collected in Guest Mode, COPPA’s parental consent requirements do not apply to Guest Mode use.

Signed-In Mode (optional, parent creates account)

A parent or guardian may create an account to enable score saving and cross-device progress. The account is created and owned by the parent. Children do not create their own accounts.

When a parent creates an account we collect:

InformationWhy we collect it
Parent’s email addressAccount identifier; sending the verification email that constitutes verifiable parental consent under COPPA
Parent’s password (hashed, never stored in plain text)Account security
Child profile nickname (e.g. “Ella” or “SuperStar”)To show a friendly name in the game; entered by the parent
Child profile avatar (a number 1–[N] representing a built-in cartoon image)Lets the child identify their profile visually without reading
Child profile PIN (4 digits, hashed, never stored in plain text)Lets the child switch to their profile on a shared device without typing a password
Game scores and level progressPersisting progress so it is not lost if the browser cache is cleared or the child switches devices

We do not collect: the child’s real full name, date of birth, address, phone number, school name, photograph, voice recording, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.

4. Parental Consent Under COPPA

When a parent registers an account, we send a verification email to the address provided. The parent must click the confirmation link in that email before the account becomes active and any child data is stored. This process — known as the “email-plus” method — constitutes verifiable parental consent as defined by the FTC under COPPA.

We will not store any personal information about a child until parental consent has been verified.

5. How We Use Information

We do not use any information for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose other than providing the Service described above.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service in the operation of the Service:

Google Gemini AI (Word Builder Adventure only)

When a player uses Word Builder Adventure, the word they type is sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate an illustration. The words are common nouns (e.g. animal or object names) and do not constitute personal information under COPPA. No user identity, account information, or IP address is included in the data sent to Google. Google processes this data under its Data Processing Terms.

We do not use any analytics services, advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or other third-party data collection tools on this Service.

7. Data Retention

8. Parental Rights (COPPA)

A parent or guardian who has created an account has the right to:

To verify a parental deletion request made by email, we will ask you to confirm ownership of the registered email address. We will complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

9. Texas Resident Rights (TDPSA)

If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives you additional rights with respect to your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@jammin.chat. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@jammin.chat.

11. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a single authentication cookie to keep a parent logged in. This cookie is:

In Guest Mode, we use the browser’s localStorage to save game scores and progress on your own device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

We do not use any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change affecting how we handle children’s personal information, we will notify registered parents by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
