Welcome to Jammin Jr (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the website jamminjr.com and the learning games available on it, including Word Builder Adventure, Letter Heroes, Reading Focus, Letter Lift, Phonics Lab, Sound Studio, and Word Craft (collectively, the “Service”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our Service, especially children.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights parents and guardians have over their child’s information.

1. Who We Are

Jammin Jr is operated by GrowByMe, LLC, located in Bastrop, TX 78602, United States.

2. Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

Our Service is directed at children under the age of 13. We comply fully with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which is enforced by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

3. The Two Ways to Use the Service

Guest Mode (no account required)

Any visitor can play all games in guest mode, including Word Builder Adventure, Letter Heroes, Reading Focus, Letter Lift, Phonics Lab, Sound Studio, and Word Craft, without creating an account. In Guest Mode:

• We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about the player.
• Game scores and progress are saved only on the player’s own device (in the browser’s local storage). We never receive this data.
• Word Builder Adventure sends the word typed by the player (e.g. “CAT” or “DOG”) to Google’s Gemini AI service to generate an image. This is a common noun, not personal information. No user identity is attached to this request. See Section 6 for more detail.
• Our servers and infrastructure providers receive standard HTTP request data (including IP addresses) necessary to deliver the web page and assets. We do not use this data for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Because no personal information is collected in Guest Mode, COPPA’s parental consent requirements do not apply to Guest Mode use.

Signed-In Mode (optional, parent creates account)

A parent or guardian may create an account to enable score saving and cross-device progress. The account is created and owned by the parent. Children do not create their own accounts.

When a parent creates an account we collect:

We do not collect: the child’s real full name, date of birth, address, phone number, school name, photograph, voice recording, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.

4. Parental Consent Under COPPA

When a parent registers an account, we send a verification email to the address provided. The parent must click the confirmation link in that email before the account becomes active and any child data is stored. This process - known as the “email-plus” method - constitutes verifiable parental consent as defined by the FTC under COPPA.

We will not store any personal information about a child until parental consent has been verified.

5. How We Use Information

• To create and maintain parent accounts and child profiles
• To save and display game scores and level progress for signed-in children
• To analyze anonymous gameplay tuning events and improve level calibration and game design
• To send the account verification email and, if requested, a password reset email
• To respond to parental requests to access, correct, or delete data at privacy@jammin.chat
• To maintain the security and technical operation of the Service

We do not use any information for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose other than providing the Service described above.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services in the operation of the Service:

Google Gemini AI (Word Builder Adventure only)

When a player uses Word Builder Adventure, the word they type is sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate an illustration. The words are common nouns (e.g. animal or object names) and do not constitute personal information under COPPA. No user identity, account information, or IP address is included in the data sent to Google. Google processes this data under its Data Processing Terms.

Asset and model delivery infrastructure

We load some site assets and model files through providers including jsDelivr, Hugging Face-hosted model files, and Google Fonts. These providers may receive standard technical request information (such as IP address, user-agent, and request timestamps) necessary to serve those files.

Email delivery provider

Verification and password reset emails are delivered through our SMTP email provider, which processes parent email addresses and transactional message metadata to deliver account emails.

We do not use advertising networks, social-media tracking pixels, or third-party behavioral profiling tools.

7. Data Retention

• Parent accounts and all associated child data are retained for as long as the account is active.
• Accounts with no login activity for 24 months are automatically and permanently deleted, along with all associated child profiles, scores, and gallery images.
• When a parent deletes their account (see Section 8), all data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Guest mode data is never stored on our servers; it exists only in the player’s browser and is subject to the browser’s own storage rules.

8. Parental Rights (COPPA)

A parent or guardian who has created an account has the right to:

• Review the personal information we have collected about their child by logging in to their account at jamminjr.com/account.
• Correct inaccurate information by editing the child’s profile in the account settings.
• Delete a child’s profile (and all associated scores) by using the “Delete Profile” option in account settings.
• Delete the entire account and all associated data by using the “Delete Account” option in account settings, or by emailing privacy@jammin.chat.
• Refuse further collection at any time by deleting the account. This does not affect the ability to continue using the Service in Guest Mode.

To verify a parental deletion request made by email, we will ask you to confirm ownership of the registered email address. We will complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

9. Texas Resident Rights (TDPSA)

If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) gives you additional rights with respect to your personal data:

• Right to know - you may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and obtain a copy of it.
• Right to correct - you may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to delete - you may request deletion of personal data we have collected from or about you.
• Right to opt out of sale - we do not sell personal data; this right is not applicable, but we acknowledge it.
• Right to non-discrimination - we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@jammin.chat. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

10. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS (TLS encryption) for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
• Bcrypt hashing for all passwords and PINs (plain-text passwords are never stored)
• Short-lived authentication tokens with secure, HTTP-only cookie storage
• Regular security reviews of our server configuration

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@jammin.chat.

11. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a single authentication cookie to keep a parent logged in. This cookie is:

• Strictly necessary for account functionality - the Service cannot function for signed-in users without it
• Set as HttpOnly and Secure so it cannot be accessed by scripts or sent over unencrypted connections
• Not used for tracking or advertising

In Guest Mode, we use the browser’s localStorage to save game scores and progress on your own device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

We do not use any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

12. Business Transfers

If GrowByMe, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing transaction, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of its assets, information covered by this Privacy Policy may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Any successor entity will be required to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy, including COPPA protections and parental rights, unless and until you are notified of lawful changes.

13. Legal Disclosures

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process (for example, subpoena, court order, or governmental request), or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, children, GrowByMe, LLC, or others.

14. U.S. State Privacy Rights

We honor applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) and, where applicable, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to appeal certain privacy decisions. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@jammin.chat.

We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change affecting how we handle children’s personal information, we will notify registered parents by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
